Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Shopify QA Tester with a strong focus on manual testing to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and user-friendliness of our Shopify-powered e-commerce stores and related features. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to identify, report, and verify defects, contributing directly to a seamless and engaging customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive manual testing on Shopify store features, including product pages, checkout flows, payment gateways, and integrations.
- Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional specifications and user stories.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using our bug tracking system (e.g., Jira), ensuring clear and concise reporting.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not introduce new issues.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and upcoming tasks.
- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to improve product quality and user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify platform updates and e-commerce best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in manual QA testing for e-commerce platforms, specifically Shopify.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce principles and user flows.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Proficiency with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana) and test management tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms or content management systems.
- Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, or JavaScript for debugging purposes.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
