Job Description
Are you ready to join a rapidly growing industry and make a tangible impact on the environment? Sunrun is seeking highly motivated and dedicated Solar Panel Installation Labourers to join our teams. This role is crucial to our mission and involves extensive travel to various project sites, often outside of your home base. We’re looking for individuals who are physically capable, eager to learn, safety-conscious, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. You will work alongside experienced technicians, assisting with all aspects of solar panel installation from ground support to roof work. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead installers and electricians with the safe and efficient installation of solar panel systems on residential and commercial properties.
- Perform site preparation tasks, including staging materials, setting up safety equipment, and ground support.
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to job sites.
- Support roof-based activities, which may include carrying materials, positioning panels, and assisting with wiring under direct supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Travel frequently to various job sites, which may include overnight stays and extended periods away from home.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks (climbing ladders, working on roofs, bending, kneeling).
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (due to travel requirements).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, roofing, or general labor.
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Experience with solar installations is a plus, but not required.
