Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Aide with a focus on rehabilitation and sports recovery to join our team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our employees’ physical health and well-being, working under the direct supervision of licensed physiotherapists. You will assist with patient care, maintain equipment, and ensure a smooth, efficient operation of our rehabilitation clinic. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about helping others achieve their recovery and fitness goals within a dynamic corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient use, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Assist physiotherapists during patient treatments, including setting up modalities, guiding exercises, and providing patient support.
- Monitor and document patient progress during exercises and activities as instructed by the therapist.
- Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and home programs under therapist guidance.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and report needs to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and answering phones.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times within the clinic environment.
- Assist with the implementation of sports injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong interest in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and sports medicine.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively in a team.
- Physical stamina to assist patients and handle equipment.
- Basic computer proficiency for scheduling and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a physiotherapy aide or in a similar healthcare support role (e.g., gym assistant, caregiver).
- Enrollment in or completion of a healthcare-related vocational program (e.g., Medical Assistant, Kinesiology).
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with various rehabilitation equipment and techniques.
