Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Valeting Assistant to join our team in Kanata. This full-time position operates on a Monday-Friday roster, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dealership’s vehicle flow and maintaining our high standards of vehicle presentation. The Valeting Assistant is responsible for greeting customers, safely moving and parking vehicles, and supporting the sales and service departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a friendly and professional demeanor upon arrival and departure.
- Safely and efficiently park and retrieve customer vehicles, minimizing wait times.
- Inspect vehicles for existing damage upon arrival and document findings accurately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the valet area, parking lot, and customer waiting areas.
- Assist with moving vehicles between departments (sales, service, detailing) as needed.
- Ensure all vehicles are parked in an organized manner and accessible when required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations within the dealership premises.
- Provide excellent customer service, including answering basic questions and directing customers.
Required Skills
- Valid Class G (or equivalent) Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and move vehicles for extended periods in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a valet, automotive, or customer service role.
- Familiarity with dealership operations and vehicle handling procedures.
- A passion for cars and the automotive industry.
