Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Warehouse Tally Clerk to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. This vital role focuses exclusively on accurate data entry and record-keeping related to incoming and outgoing warehouse inventory. The ideal candidate will have excellent observational skills, a meticulous approach to detail, and a strong work ethic. Please note: This position involves no phone work; the primary focus is on precise data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately count and record all incoming and outgoing inventory items.
- Verify quantities against shipping manifests, purchase orders, and other documentation.
- Enter inventory data into our warehouse management system (WMS) with speed and precision.
- Identify and report discrepancies in inventory counts or documentation to supervisors.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date physical and digital inventory records.
- Assist with periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies.
- Label and organize inventory as required to facilitate efficient tracking.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift light items (up to 25 lbs) throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, or data entry role.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
