Job Description

Extendicare is actively recruiting compassionate and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our team in Ajax, Ontario. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive paid training and ongoing mentorship to equip you with all the necessary skills. Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly.
- Help with meal service, ensuring residents receive appropriate nutrition and hydration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere.
- Assist with restorative care programs as directed by professional staff.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including infection control guidelines.
- Document care provided and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
