Job Description
Are you a master of furniture assembly, capable of tackling various brands and complex instructions with precision and efficiency? TaskRabbit is seeking a Pro Furniture Assembly – Multi-Brand Specialist to join our network of independent contractors. This role is perfect for individuals who are highly skilled in assembling furniture from a wide range of manufacturers, possess excellent problem-solving abilities, and are committed to delivering top-notch service to clients across Jurupa Valley and surrounding areas. As an independent Tasker, you’ll manage your own schedule, choose the jobs you want, and set your own rates, all while providing essential home services.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform furniture assembly for a diverse array of brands (e.g., IKEA, Wayfair, Crate & Barrel, West Elm, Amazon Basics) at client locations.
- Accurately interpret and follow complex assembly instructions and diagrams for various furniture types (beds, desks, cabinets, shelves, outdoor furniture, etc.).
- Bring and maintain your own professional-grade tools and equipment necessary for efficient and high-quality assembly.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
- Manage your own schedule, accept tasks via the TaskRabbit app, and complete them within agreed-upon timelines.
- Ensure a clean and tidy workspace upon completion of assembly.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices during all assembly tasks.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in furniture assembly, demonstrating proficiency with multiple brands and furniture types.
- Strong ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools common in furniture assembly.
- Reliable transportation to travel to various client locations within Jurupa Valley and nearby areas.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a professional assembler, handyman, or in a related trade.
- A robust portfolio or strong client reviews demonstrating successful furniture assembly projects.
- Familiarity with smart home device installation or mounting services is a plus.
