Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Online Fitness Coach to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to connect with and empower clients from across Canada, delivering personalized fitness programs and guidance entirely through video conferencing. You will be responsible for assessing client needs, designing tailored workout plans, providing real-time coaching, and fostering a supportive and motivating environment to help individuals achieve their health and fitness goals. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of exercise science, and a passion for helping others transform their lives through remote coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial virtual consultations to assess client fitness levels, goals, and health history.
- Develop personalized, safe, and effective workout plans tailored to individual client needs and preferences.
- Deliver engaging and motivating one-on-one and small group training sessions via video conferencing platforms.
- Provide constructive feedback on form and technique during live sessions.
- Track client progress, adjust programs as needed, and celebrate achievements.
- Offer nutritional guidance and lifestyle recommendations to complement fitness routines.
- Maintain consistent communication and build strong rapport with clients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest fitness trends, research, and best practices.
- Manage scheduling and client communication efficiently using digital tools.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a certified personal trainer or fitness coach.
- Nationally recognized personal training certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ISSA, CanFitPro).
- Strong understanding of exercise physiology, anatomy, and biomechanics.
- Proficiency in using video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients remotely.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional remote workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., nutrition, corrective exercise, group fitness).
- Experience with online fitness platforms or apps.
- Demonstrated success in client retention and goal achievement in a remote setting.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
