Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Sentiment Guru to join our Market Research team. This 100% remote role requires a deep understanding of sentiment analysis methodologies, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure Cognitive Services, Power BI, etc.). The successful candidate will be instrumental in extracting, analyzing, and interpreting sentiment data from various sources to provide valuable market insights to our clients. You will lead the development and implementation of advanced sentiment analysis models, translating complex data into clear, strategic recommendations that drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of sentiment analysis solutions using Microsoft technologies (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning).
- Identify and integrate diverse data sources (social media, customer reviews, surveys) for comprehensive sentiment analysis.
- Develop and refine custom sentiment models and lexicons tailored to specific market research objectives.
- Analyze large datasets to identify sentiment trends, patterns, and anomalies relevant to consumer behavior and market perception.
- Translate complex sentiment data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for internal teams and external clients.
- Create compelling visualizations and reports using Power BI or similar tools to present sentiment findings.
- Collaborate with market research analysts, data scientists, and product teams to integrate sentiment insights into broader research initiatives.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and sentiment analysis.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship on sentiment analysis best practices to junior team members.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and ethical handling of sensitive information in all sentiment analysis activities.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of dedicated experience in sentiment analysis or NLP-focused data science roles.
- Demonstrable expertise with Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services (Text Analytics, Language Service).
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
- Strong command of Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and model development.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning concepts.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and database technologies.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) sentiment analysis tools.
- Familiarity with market research methodologies and consumer behavior analysis.
- Experience in developing and deploying scalable machine learning models.
- Certification in Microsoft Azure AI or Data Science related specializations.
- Publication history or significant open-source contributions in NLP/sentiment analysis.
