Job Description
Join Tesla Energy’s dynamic team as a Solar Panel Cleaning Crew member! This is an exciting outdoor role perfect for individuals who enjoy working outside, are physically active, and are committed to ensuring the optimal performance of solar energy systems. You’ll be responsible for the meticulous cleaning of solar panels across various residential and commercial sites, contributing directly to renewable energy efficiency. We offer a high hourly rate for your hard work and dedication.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough and efficient cleaning of solar panels using specialized equipment and techniques.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working at heights or on various roof types.
- Inspect solar panels for any damage or issues during cleaning and report findings to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and equipment.
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete cleaning projects on schedule.
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members.
- Travel to various job sites within Guelph and the surrounding areas.
- Manage water and cleaning solution usage efficiently to minimize waste.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, sun, rain).
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures for outdoor work.
- Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working on sloped roofs and elevated platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor labor, construction, landscaping, or similar roles.
- Experience with power washing or specialized cleaning equipment.
- First Aid and Working at Heights certification.
- Knowledge of solar energy systems and their maintenance requirements.
